The emerald cut sapphire is held with a yellow gold millegrain setting complimenting the warmth of the blue. Fourteen brilliant cut diamonds surround the sapphire in a white gold millegrain setting and the ring is finished with three diamonds set down the shoulders meeting the yellow gold flat band shank. All mounted in 18ct gold with full struck hallmark inside the band including the commemorative Millennium Mark which could be used during 1999 and 2000.

With a baguette cut diamond on either side at right angles to the central amethyst to give width across the finger. These diamonds are set in 18ct white gold rub over settings and the yellow gold shank has split shoulders where the diamonds are set and these splits curving out towards the corner claws. This in turn is surrounded by a full row of calibre cut emeralds with a larger square cut emerald at 2,4,8 and 10. The larger square calibre gives that extra detail which helps to make this such an exquisite ring and typical of a ring made in the 1930s. All the settings are very fine millegrain. There are very fine diamond set shoulders with 2 eight cut diamonds set neatly in to the shoulders. The ring is stamped with the French Mascaron mark for Platinum which was only used between 1913 and 1926 Square emerald measures 3.9mm x 3.7mm x 1.9mm 4 Diamonds = 0.40ct approx. 4 Diamonds = 0.25ct approx.
