It is a very neat ring with  D shape profile, low and close to the finger making it very comfortable to wear. The front of the ring at the broadest point measures 6.7mm tapering to 3.4mm at the back.

The red spinel itself is oval cut, bright with full of fire, it is held in place with 12 neat 18ct white gold claws. Surrounding this are 12 modern brilliant cut diamonds which are set in white gold claw settings. The shank is 18ct yellow gold. The square cut Aquamarine, is a bright vibrant stone which we have had re-polished. It is held in a 4 claw platinum setting, with an open gallery to view the full depth of the stone. The shoulders are set with 3 x 8 cut diamonds on each side, this is very typical of a ring made circa 1950. The shank joins the setting with chenier tubing in the split. The shank is made from 18ct white gold. The ring is punched with C & F as the makers, a superb firm started in 1917 and we have dealt with them right through their existence until the closed in the early 2000's. The ring also is punched Pt & 18ct for the metal and then an individual number of 5967, this is all a sign of a quality maker.
