O'Donoghue Assay - London 2003 The maker T O'Donoghue make fine quality handmade pieces, based in Hatton Garden since 1951 The ring measures 3.75mm wide Finger size O 1/2 Cannot be altered Supplied in Connards presentation box Second Hand | This superb Art Deco emerald and diamond cluster ring, with a square cut central Emerald surrounded by 8 Victorian cut diamonds, each set in pairs around the central emerald. This in turn is surrounded by a full row of calibre cut emeralds with a larger square cut emerald at 2,4,8 and 10. The larger square calibre gives that extra detail which helps to make this such an exquisite ring and typical of a ring made in the 1930s. All the settings are very fine millegrain. There are very fine diamond set shoulders with 2 eight cut diamonds set neatly in to the shoulders. The ring is stamped with the French Mascaron mark for Platinum which was only used between 1913 and 1926 Square emerald measures 3.9mm x 3.7mm x 1.9mm 4 Diamonds = 0.40ct approx. 4 Diamonds = 0.25ct approx. The large pendeloque cut citrine has been repolished by ourselves and is held securely with yellow gold claws to compliment the intense orange colour. Emerald cut in shape, and all beautifully mounted in 9ct yellow gold. With a four claw setting, with the elongated claws in the corners. A pierced gallery around the setting and with a slightly tapering shank. All three a bright, well matched, vibrant pink sapphires and interspaced by three modern brilliant cut diamonds. Following the curvature of the ovals, the middle diamond is slightly smaller and the other two diamonds are much bigger to fill in the space between the pink sapphires. All the mounting is made in 18ct white gold with claw settings. The shank joins in a traditional split leaf and shoulder style finish.
