O'Donoghue Assay - London 2003 The maker T O'Donoghue make fine quality handmade pieces, based in Hatton Garden since 1951 The ring measures 3.75mm wide Finger size O 1/2 Cannot be altered Supplied in Connards presentation box Second Hand | This superb Art Deco emerald and diamond cluster ring, with a square cut central Emerald surrounded by 8 Victorian cut diamonds, each set in pairs around the central emerald. This in turn is surrounded by a full row of calibre cut emeralds with a larger square cut emerald at 2,4,8 and 10. The larger square calibre gives that extra detail which helps to make this such an exquisite ring and typical of a ring made in the 1930s. All the settings are very fine millegrain. There are very fine diamond set shoulders with 2 eight cut diamonds set neatly in to the shoulders. The ring is stamped with the French Mascaron mark for Platinum which was only used between 1913 and 1926 Square emerald measures 3.9mm x 3.7mm x 1.9mm 4 Diamonds = 0.40ct approx. 4 Diamonds = 0.25ct approx. Surrounding it are 12 modern brilliant cut diamonds set in to an 18ct white gold square setting, all diamonds are of equal size and each one is held in a very neat 4 claw setting. The ring has 9 diamonds on each shoulder leading up to the central cluster. The mount itself is a millegrain Halo style that allows a wedding ring or an eternity ring to sit flush, as the setting a sits above the ring it is worn next to. The shank is also in all 18ct white gold.
