The red spinel itself is oval cut, bright with full of fire, it is held in place with 12 neat 18ct white gold claws. Surrounding this are 12 modern brilliant cut diamonds which are set in white gold claw settings. The shank is 18ct yellow gold. Red Spinel: 1.60 carats 12 Diamonds = 0.60 carat Size: 15mm x 12.5mm Can be altered, please contact for size options English made | Aquamarine single stone ring, with diamond set shoulders. The square cut Aquamarine, is a bright vibrant stone which we have had re-polished. It is held in a 4 claw platinum setting, with an open gallery to view the full depth of the stone. The shoulders are set with 3 x 8 cut diamonds on each side, this is very typical of a ring made circa 1950. The shank joins the setting with chenier tubing in the split. The shank is made from 18ct white gold. The ring is punched with C & F as the makers, a superb firm started in 1917 and we have dealt with them right through their existence until the closed in the early 2000's. The ring also is punched Pt & 18ct for the metal and then an individual number of 5967, this is all a sign of a quality maker. With a bright purple amethyst held in neat claw settings. This is surrounded by alternating larger brilliant cut diamonds and slightly smaller 8 cut diamonds, also on alternating levels. The higher row of diamonds are the larger brilliant cuts and the lower row being the 8 cuts. All mounted in 18ct white gold claw set settings and shank with solid sides. Amethyst = 8.00 carats approx. Diamonds = 0.60 carat approx. All three a bright, well matched, vibrant aquamarine, and interspaced by 3 modern brilliant cut diamonds. Following the curvature of the ovals, the middle diamond is slightly smaller and the other two diamonds are much bigger to fill in the space between the aquamarines. All the mounting is surely made in platinum with a millegrain finish. The shank joins in a traditional split leaf and shoulder style finish. This ring is superbly made by hand by our best Craftsman in Yorkshire. The setting is neat low profile, keeping the ring low to the finger. The centre in this gem cluster is a Victorian cut diamond, which is surrounded by a further 4 Victoria cut diamonds at the quarter. All held in neat grain style settings in platinum. There are then 4 square cut Emeralds positioned in the corners, held in platinum settings. The shank is all in 18ct yellow gold with a nice fine taper towards the setting. One of the Emeralds has two small pieces out, we decided not to replace it, as it would be almost impossible to obtain an emerald to match for colour and brightness, and style of cut for the age of ring. The inside of the shank is stamped with an individual No W859 1 Diamonds = 0.30ct approx. 4 Diamonds = 0.70ct approx.
