Sapphire and diamond graduated five stone ring mounted in 18ct yellow gold. The sapphires and diamonds are Victorian cut which give a brightness to the diamonds and a velvet blue colour to the sapphires. The sapphires show some minor wear to the facet edges which is to be expected with the age of when originally cut. All gemstones are held in a modern high 18ct white gold claw settings giving height to the ring; the central sapphire and two diamonds being held with 8 claws and the outer two sapphire held with 6 claws.

The 18ct yellow gold shank has solid sides and white gold faced shoulders tapering to the head of the ring. Inside the ring it is punched ’18ct 18ct’.

2 Diamonds = 0.50cts approx.

Measures 21.3mm across the finger, 6.7mm wide and 6.1mm high

The central amethyst is a hexagonal cut and with a rich depth to the colour, this is held neatly in double white gold claws at each point. The amethyst is surrounded by modern brilliant cut diamonds, with the addition of the diamonds on the 6 points being slightly larger than the following 2 diamonds running alongside the edge of the amethyst. The entire setting for all of the stones is 18ct white gold and the shank of the ring is 18ct yellow gold. The large square Aquamarine with cut corners is held with 4 strong square claws in the corners. The mounting is once again all individually made for this exact stone, with as low a profile as is possible given the size of this ring. The mounting is a combination of platinum for the settings and 18ct white gold for the shank. The ring will date to the 1930's and we have extensively re-polished the aquamarine by specialist stone polishers in London. The weight originally being 15.08cts and now weighing 13.70cts.
