| Description | Sapphire and diamond cluster ring, set in 18ct white gold claw setting and yellow gold shank. Three round cut sapphires surrounded by brilliant cut diamonds 3 Sapphires = 1.17cts 12 Diamonds = 0.99ct | A most striking and beautiful Art Deco Aquamarine single stone ring, with diamond set sides. The large square Aquamarine with cut corners is held with 4 strong square claws in the corners. This is flanked with diamond set sides, unusually on all 4 of the long sides, and even more unusually is that 3 of them have 3 8 cut diamonds and the fourth side has 4 x 8 cut diamonds. The mounting is once again all individually made for this exact stone, with as low a profile as is possible given the size of this ring. The mounting is a combination of platinum for the settings and 18ct white gold for the shank. The ring will date to the 1930's and we have extensively re-polished the aquamarine by specialist stone polishers in London. The weight originally being 15.08cts and now weighing 13.70cts. But has given this ring a transformation and new lease of life. The red spinel itself is oval cut, bright with full of fire, it is held in place with 12 neat 18ct white gold claws. This in turn is surrounded by a full row of calibre cut emeralds with a larger square cut emerald at 2,4,8 and 10. The larger square calibre gives that extra detail which helps to make this such an exquisite ring and typical of a ring made in the 1930s. All the settings are very fine millegrain. There are very fine diamond set shoulders with 2 eight cut diamonds set neatly in to the shoulders.
