Three round cut sapphires surrounded by brilliant cut diamonds 3 Sapphires = 1.17cts 12 Diamonds = 0.99ctA beautiful larger amethyst and diamond dress cluster ring. With a bright purple amethyst held in neat claw settings. This is surrounded by alternating larger brilliant cut diamonds and slightly smaller 8 cut diamonds, also on alternating levels. The higher row of diamonds are the larger brilliant cuts and the lower row being the 8 cuts. All mounted in 18ct white gold claw set settings and shank with solid sides. Amethyst = 8.00 carats approx. Diamonds = 0.60 carat approx. The centre in this gem cluster is a Victorian cut diamond, which is surrounded by a further 4 Victoria cut diamonds at the quarter. All held in neat grain style settings in platinum. There are then 4 square cut Emeralds positioned in the corners, held in platinum settings. The shank is all in 18ct yellow gold with a nice fine taper towards the setting. One of the Emeralds has two small pieces out, we decided not to replace it, as it would be almost impossible to obtain an emerald to match for colour and brightness, and style of cut for the age of ring.  The inside  of the shank is stamped with an individual No W859 1 Diamonds = 0.30ct approx. 4 Diamonds = 0.70ct approx. The square cut Aquamarine, is a bright vibrant stone which we have had re-polished. It is held in a 4 claw platinum setting, with an open gallery to view the full depth of the stone. The shoulders are set with 3 x 8 cut diamonds on each side, this is very typical of a ring made circa 1950. The shank joins the setting with chenier tubing in the split. The shank is made from 18ct white gold. The ring is punched with C & F as the makers, a superb firm started in 1917 and we have dealt with them right through their existence until the closed in the early 2000's. The ring also is punched Pt & 18ct for the metal and then an individual number of 5967, this is all a sign of a quality maker. The amethyst is surrounded by modern brilliant cut diamonds, with the addition of the diamonds on the 6 points being slightly larger than the following 2 diamonds running alongside the edge of the amethyst. The entire setting for all of the stones is 18ct white gold and the shank of the ring is 18ct yellow gold.
