An impressive Sapphire and diamond open circle brooch, with sapphire and diamonds alternating in sets of threes all the way round. Each stone being held in place by their own three claw setting. The bright vibrant blues contrasing against the white modern brilliant cut diamonds. All mounted in platinum, which at the time of making would have most likely been a special one off order by the customer.

The brooch being secured in place with a rollover safety catch and once worn, the pin will not be seen.

The maker of this piece is Tom O’Donoghue who were makers of extremely fine quality jewellery, making one off pieces for high end London shops and Royalty.  Any piece of jewellery bearing the TO’D stamp, is one of quality and excellence of a superior standard.

Supplied in Connards presentation case Second HandIndian Medical Service sweetheart brooch with a gold laurel wreath surrounding the latin Moto - "HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE" all enamelled in blue with gold serpent and staff in the centre. To the bottom "INDIAN MEDICAL SERVICE" in a blue enamelled ribbon and at the top a King's crown in gold and red enamel. All made in 9ct yellow gold. On the reverse the pin fastens with a handmade tiffany catch and clearly punched full hallmark. The piece is completed with an 18ct white gold moveable collar set with a diamond for that added luxury. Secured with a Trombone brooch fastener for safety, this gives it extra strength in how it supports the brooch.
