These are flanked either side by a row of uniform brilliant cut diamonds. The lovely bright cornflower blue sapphire in the centre is flanked by an Edwardian cut diamond on either side, all stones being held in neat twin claw settings made from platinum. With a classical chewier tube shank made from 18ct white gold. Sapphire = 0.46ct 2 Diamonds = 0.40ct approx. The sapphires and diamonds are all modern brilliant cuts each held in neat yellow gold claws graduating across the finger in size. This is contained in a twisting rope of gold graduating around the finger. Maker: Ben Rosenfeld Assayed: London 1975 Second Hand Finger size: L½A most striking and beautiful Art Deco Aquamarine single stone ring, with diamond set sides. The large square Aquamarine with cut corners is held with 4 strong square claws in the corners. This is flanked with diamond set sides, unusually on all 4 of the long sides, and even more unusually is that 3 of them have 3 8 cut diamonds and the fourth side has 4 x 8 cut diamonds. The mounting is once again all individually made for this exact stone, with as low a profile as is possible given the size of this ring. The mounting is a combination of platinum for the settings and 18ct white gold for the shank. The ring will date to the 1930's and we have extensively re-polished the aquamarine by specialist stone polishers in London. The weight originally being 15.08cts and now weighing 13.70cts. But has given this ring a transformation and new lease of life.
