King’s Own Scottish Borderers Regimental sweetheart brooch exquisitely made 18ct gold and enamel. In the centre of the yellow gold cross of St Andrew in white gold is Edinburgh Castle with three turrets and each with a flag flying to the left. The castle is surrounded in a blue enamel circlet at the back of the brooch “KING”S OWN SCOTTISH BORDERERS”. Above and below the circlet within blue enamel scrolls “IN VERITATE RELIGIONIS CONFIDO NISI DOMINUS FRUSTRA” A wreath of green enamel thistles with purple flowers surrounds the circlet and the Royal Crest with red enamelled St Edwards Crown surmounts the brooch.

The piece is made in three separate pieces, the most expensive method of making and all riveted at the back. To the rear the 9ct gold pin securely fastens in a C catch.There are no hallmarks on the brooch.

Measures 27mm wide x 32mm tall

Measures 27mm wide x 32mm tall Supplied in a Connards Presentation box Second HandThis is an individual brooch by the superb makers E. Wolfe & Co. established in 1850 and specialise in making bird and animal jewellery, with each piece being unique. The Alsation is made from 18ct gold, which is exquisitely hand chased to create the effect of the fur. Set with cabochon cut Sapphires for its eyes and with black onyx set for its nose. The piece is completed with an 18ct white gold moveable collar set with a diamond for that added luxury. Secured with a Trombone brooch fastener for safety, this gives it extra strength in how it supports the brooch. Measures 5.4cm long from Head to tail | 3.2cm high from Ears to feetNaval Cap sweetheart Regimental brooch in 15ct yellow gold with green and red enamelled Kings Crown. The fouled anchor centre is assumed to be platinum surrounded by 15ct gold laurel leaves. On the reverse the pin fastens securely in a handmade rollover safety catch and '15CT' is clearly stamped at the bottom in the centre. The brooch would have been made before 1932, as that is when they stopped using 15ct gold. This was always reserved for the higher quality pieces. Size: 27mm x 25mm Supplied in a Connards Presentation box Second Hand  The Loyal Regiment, regimental bar brooch, 9ct gold mount with red enamelled Rose of Lancaster and blue enamelled ribbon motto surmounted by a the Royal Crest, a crowned lion standing on a red enamelled Kings Crown. Excellent condition of enamel and gold. The brooch is secured in place with a handmade Tiffany catch. Measures 5.0cm long x 2.1cm high Supplied in a Connards presentation box Second HandAn excellent Regimental brooch of The Royal Flying Corps. This sweetheart brooch has superbly detailed gold wings with textured finish. The RFC insignia enamelled inna bright red, on top of a green enamelled laurel wreath and embellished with a Kings crown and red enamel. The gold used in this brooch is all 15ct yellow and the condition of the piece given its age is superb. The wings have a lovely curvature which is shown in the picture of the brooch on its side. The RFC was the earliest form of the what would then become the RAF when it merged with the Royal Navy Air Service in 1918. All indicators as the the age of this brooch, being at least easily 100 years old and still in excellent condition. The brooch would have been made before 1932, as that is when they stopped using 15ct gold. This was always reserved for the higher quality pieces and it is secured in place with a very traditional C safety clasp, again typical of a much older brooch.
