A Mikimoto open circle brooch comprising of 11 Akoya cultured pearls joining with an 18ct yellow gold stylised bow at 4 o’clock. The brooch is mounted in all 18ct yellow gold and on the reverse traditional struck UK hallmarks and the pin closes securely into a roll over safety catch.
Kokichi Mikimoto, the founder of Mikimoto, is renowned for successfully creating the world’s first cultured pearls over a Century ago in 1893. His dedication extended beyond cultivation to crafting exquisite jewellery, blending Japanese craftsmanship with design influences from around the world. Measurements - 27mm diameter | This striking brooch has 2 clusters one set with blue zircons and a pink tourmaline and the other with garnets and a green tourmaline, these are set either side of 14ct yellow gold leaves with Akoya cultured pearls ends. Sat upon this is a gold bee with diamond set pierced platinum wings with a ruby eye. This is a unique brooch made to an exceptional standard. Gemstones are: Blue Zircon, Garnet, Pink and Green Tourmaline, Measures 4.9cms wide x 3.5cms High Handmade in London by Cropp & Farr Established 1917 Second Hand | Naval Cap sweetheart Regimental brooch in 15ct yellow gold with green and red enamelled Kings Crown. The fouled anchor centre is assumed to be platinum surrounded by 15ct gold laurel leaves. On the reverse the pin fastens securely in a handmade rollover safety catch and '15CT' is clearly stamped at the bottom in the centre. The brooch would have been made before 1932, as that is when they stopped using 15ct gold. This was always reserved for the higher quality pieces.
