A beautiful Jade brooch in the shape of a butterfly, with cultured pearl central body. The brooch is made up of 2 large individual pieces of carved jade, both as close as symmetrically possible for detail, shape and size. These are angled coming away from the central body of three cultured pearls, with 14ct gold mount and curving antennae.
The brooch is exquisitely mounted from the backwash individually made mounts for each jade and all secured with a large pin held fastening with a trombone catch.
Measures 51mm Wide x 27mm High
The piece is stamped 14K

Supplied in a Connards presentation box Second hand. | Naval Cap sweetheart Regimental brooch in 15ct yellow gold with green and red enamelled Kings Crown. The fouled anchor centre is assumed to be platinum surrounded by 15ct gold laurel leaves. On the reverse the pin fastens securely in a handmade rollover safety catch and '15CT' is clearly stamped at the bottom in the centre. The brooch would have been made before 1932, as that is when they stopped using 15ct gold. This was always reserved for the higher quality pieces. Wolfe & Co. established in 1850 and specialise in making bird and animal jewellery, with each piece being unique. The Alsation is made from 18ct gold, which is exquisitely hand chased to create the effect of the fur. Set with cabochon cut Sapphires for its eyes and with black onyx set for its nose. The piece is completed with an 18ct white gold moveable collar set with a diamond for that added luxury. Secured with a Trombone brooch fastener for safety, this gives it extra strength in how it supports the brooch. Measures 5.4cm long from Head to tail | 3.2cm high from Ears to feet | Sapphire quatrefoil bar brooch, with seed pearl circular surround. 4 round cut sapphires set in millenarian mount with central seed pearl, each seed pearl will be set in plaster of Paris and all in 15ct gold mount.
