A beautiful Jade brooch in the shape of a butterfly, with cultured pearl central body. The brooch is made up of 2 large individual pieces of carved jade, both as close as symmetrically possible for detail, shape and size. These are angled coming away from the central body of three cultured pearls, with 14ct gold mount and curving antennae.
The brooch is exquisitely mounted from the backwash individually made mounts for each jade and all secured with a large pin held fastening with a trombone catch.
Measures 51mm Wide x 27mm High
The piece is stamped 14K

Made by specialist Birmingham jewellers Alabaster and Wilson Length 3.3cm | Ruby and diamond oval open "Circle" brooch, this beautifully attractive brooch, with four pairs of modern brilliant cut diamonds, each separated by 3 rubies in a classical oval shaped brooch. The diamonds each mounted in four claw 18ct white gold and the rubies in four claw 18ct yellow gold settings. Fitted with a traditional rollover safety catch on the pin fastening. The brooch would have been made before 1932, as that is when they stopped using 15ct gold. This was always reserved for the higher quality pieces.
