The shank is made from 18ct yellow gold and joins neatly up to the setting. Fire opal is an unusual gemstone and has a very distinctive colour and brightness.

Fire Opal = 0.93 carat 14 Diamonds = 0.34 carat Measures 13.2mm x 11mm Hand Made in Hatton Garden This style of ring can be made with other coloured gemstones in the centreAquamarine single stone ring, with diamond set shoulders. The square cut Aquamarine, is a bright vibrant stone which we have had re-polished. It is held in a 4 claw platinum setting, with an open gallery to view the full depth of the stone. The shoulders are set with 3 x 8 cut diamonds on each side, this is very typical of a ring made circa 1950. The shank joins the setting with chenier tubing in the split. The shank is made from 18ct white gold. The ring is punched with C & F as the makers, a superb firm started in 1917 and we have dealt with them right through their existence until the closed in the early 2000's. The ring also is punched Pt & 18ct for the metal and then an individual number of 5967, this is all a sign of a quality maker. Surrounding it are 12 modern brilliant cut diamonds set in to an 18ct white gold square setting, all diamonds are of equal size and each one is held in a very neat 4 claw setting. The ring has 9 diamonds on each shoulder leading up to the central cluster. The mount itself is a millegrain Halo style that allows a wedding ring or an eternity ring to sit flush, as the setting a sits above the ring it is worn next to. The shank is also in all 18ct white gold. This in turn is surrounded by a full row of calibre cut emeralds with a larger square cut emerald at 2,4,8 and 10. The larger square calibre gives that extra detail which helps to make this such an exquisite ring and typical of a ring made in the 1930s. All the settings are very fine millegrain. There are very fine diamond set shoulders with 2 eight cut diamonds set neatly in to the shoulders. The ring is stamped with the French Mascaron mark for Platinum which was only used between 1913 and 1926 Square emerald measures 3.9mm x 3.7mm x 1.9mm 4 Diamonds = 0.40ct approx. 4 Diamonds = 0.25ct approx.
