Description Diamond baguette and modern brilliant cut cluster ring, mounted in 18ct white gold claw setting and yellow gold shank. Three baguette cut diamonds in the centre surrounded by modern brilliant cut diamonds, set in white gold claw settings. 3 Baguette cut diamonds = 0.57ct 12 Brilliant cut diamonds = 0.72ct The central diamond is surrounded by four diamond points set in very fine millegrain settings. To either side of the central diamond are well matched real pearls, both measuring 3.6mm in diameter. The D shape shank tapers from the pearls and inside the shank are Swedish hallmarks. The ring was made in 1942 and typical of this time the 18ct gold mounting is a lovely rosey colour. Diamond = 0.35cts approx. Maker - Gustav Dahlgren & Co. These flanked by a row of white modern brilliant cut diamonds on either side. The contrasting of the 2 colours works so well and sits very comfortably on the finger. The 7 modern brilliant cut diamonds are all the same size and held in neat 4 claw settings which are low to the finger but from the side the setting looks like a "Zig-Zag", hence the modern style of setting. The shank of the ring is in all 18ct yellow gold and for durability the settings are made from platinum.
