This is a beautiful multi gemstone spray basket brooch. The variation of Gemstones adds colour and vibrancy to this exquisite piece of jewellery. The different cuts of stones gives variety and interspersed are round white Akoya cultured pearls. All of this is set upon a hand pierced basket made out of 9ct yellow gold with a curving handle set with leaves.

Gemstones are: Garnet, Citrine, Peridot, Aquamarine, Amethyst, Almandine Garnet, Blue Zircon, Green and Pink Tourmalines

RAF crest mounted on a green enamelled laurel wreath surmounted by a red enamelled Queen's crown with light blue enamelled wings with textured relief. The brooch would have been made before 1932, as that is when they stopped using 15ct gold. This was always reserved for the higher quality pieces. To the bottom "INDIAN MEDICAL SERVICE" in a blue enamelled ribbon and at the top a King's crown in gold and red enamel. All made in 9ct yellow gold. On the reverse the pin fastens with a handmade tiffany catch and clearly punched full hallmark.
